My Approach

I offer psychotherapy to people who feel drawn to explore and expand their self awareness and transform emotional confusion and suffering. I believe that it’s in relationship with others where we are harmed and it’s also in relationship with others where we can heal and grow. The therapy relationship facilitates a healing conversation because it is a place of safety where you can begin to expand your ability to communicate, develop your capacity for self compassion, deepen your emotional understanding, and increase your self confidence.

I work well with people who are creative, sensitive, curious, and looking for greater understanding rather than to be “fixed.” I draw from an eclectic variety of theoretical approaches but am most rooted in the depth psychology tradition. I avoid psychoanalytic dogma and jargon in favor of a more creative, spontaneous, and alive connection with my clients.

I strive to facilitate a safe and open space where we can listen with care and curiosity to your story and the symptoms you hope to address in a manner that is both embodied and relational. I am currently seeing clients solely over telehealth.

Symptoms I treat

I work with children, teens, and adults and treat a variety of symptoms and conditions. I don’t approach the symptoms or problems that bring you to psychotherapy simply as a disease needing to be cured, but as important messages that tell a story. If we can listen to these messages rather than simply trying to get rid of them, we can begin to understand the root causes of your pain. The dialogue that happens in psychotherapy invites an internal dialogue that will transform you, open up possibilities that weren’t there before, and allow you to enter into a renewed relationship with yourself, the people in your life, and the world around you. As you begin to find more meaning and joy in your life, a sense of purpose and belonging can also develop and grow.
